Course outline

The combined degree consists of a Master of Clinical Audiology coursework component to the value of 60 points and preparation and submission of a thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

PHYL8501 and PHYL8511 must both be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.

PHYL8502 and PHYL8512 must both be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.

PHYL8615 and PHYL8611 must both be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.

Students continuing with the Doctor of Philosophy program will need to refer to information provided by the Graduate Research School.

Admission requirements

A recognised Honours degree of at least 2A level or equivalent and meet the admission requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (see the Postgraduate Research prospectus). Applicants must be able to provide a certificate of national police clearance from their home country before enrolling.
A candidate must provide a research proposal, through the Head of the School of Biomedical, Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences, within six months from the date of first enrolment for the degree.
Students taking the combined course complete much of the formal coursework and assessment Master of Clinical Audiology program. In addition they plan and carry out a major research project.
